Faith, Hope and Charity

I was reading in Moroni this morning in chapter 7, his great discourse on Charity and verses 41-45 and I realized that Faith, Hope and Charity are what we are searching for in life. We cannot have hope in our lives without first having faith in Jesus Christ and believing that He is and that the atonement is real and His promises are sure and only then we have the hope in a better life with Christ in the center. With faith and hope and being meek and lowly of heart will then lead us to charity--which is the Pure Love of Christ--which means we are then like HIM! When we let go of any three we become lost, wanderers in misery, alone and bitter without Christ's atonement to buoy us up.

Need to Laugh

Why is that I can't be the kind of mother who laughs at the little spills of life or even the big spills. Natalie opened a can of Spaghetios last night (with a normal hand operated can opener) and in the process of doing so the can seemed to explode! There were Spaghetios everywhere--all over the counter, all over the floor, all over my recipe book and all over Natalie! She began to laugh and laugh!!! She thought it was quite comical as for me on the other hand I began chewing her out because it seems to be non-stop messes with her. It just didn't surprise me that this happened because she is just accident prone in the kitchen from spilt milk to leaving a pan on high on the burner--BUT I gave the wrong response. I should have laughed and enjoyed the moment with her because all too soon she will be creating these moments with roommates and I probably will not enjoy my all too clean kitchen! These are the moments I should be catching on film.

Sneakin' up on me

I was minding my own business, in fact I was picking the very last of the raspberries for the season when I hear a deep voice that says "What are you doing?" I thought I would faint right there and then. I couldn't believe when I looked up and saw Sharm standing there! Of course I got all teary-eyed and my love bucket was all filled immediately! I knew that he was trying to come home for the weekend but wouldn't come until Friday, so it was such a pleasant surprise to have him a day early. I've discovered that you can be quite lonely even having your children around. You just feel very incomplete without your better half. Angie asked me what we were going to do all weekend. I said "do? We don't have to do anything, just being together and talking fills my empty reservoir."

Wish List

You can never go wrong with me with a gift of lotion, candles, books, CD's, chocolates (M&M's to fill the jar), flowers or a gift certificate. You can tell I'm a romantic through and through!

Here are a few items that cross my mind once in awhile that I would like:
1-Another 13X9 glass dish (Dad has another one of mine)
2-Vegetable steamer--I like my vegetables on the crisp, tasty fresh side
3-A banana hook--tired of my bananas on the counter
4-Dehydrator--would love to dry peaches and apples
5-A New Mouse Pad--this one is gross--love anything with ocean, beaches and lighthouses or
grand-kids!
6-A flat of flowers or some shrubs--tired of just the grass!
7-Glass cereal bowls--I have had a hard time finding these
